Seattle is an iconic city in the United States. Home of the famous Starbucks coffee chain and the location of many movies, including Sleepless in Seattle. But what I didn't know is that there is a hip and happening vegan scene in this Washington hub. Cedric and I ate at just a few of the delicious vegan restaurants Seattle has to offer. Below are video shorts and descriptions of each place for your next trip!
The Wayward Vegan
All-vegan restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. Pictured here is the “Good Morning Sandwich” Toasted sourdough bread with cheddar “cheeze”, chipotle "ranch", a veggie sausage patty, tempeh bacon, scrambled soy “eggs” and tomato, served with home fries. DANGG! I’m drooling. They definitely have the best vegan breakfasts in WA, no doubt! I'm so sad this place isn't in our hometown!
Kedai Makan
This Malaysian restaurant offers great vegan options and substitutes. Imagine Vegan Nasi Lemak, Vegan Laksa Lemak and more! Cedric and I loved Malaysian food when we traveled to Malaysia so this restaurant brought us right back to that country! 🇲🇾 They also have non-vegan options so this is a great place to bring people of all diet types.
The Sushi Samurai
Can you believe an all-plant based sushi spot exists? We couldn’t either! This eatery has an all-vegan jam-packed menu! 🍣 The owners were very nice and told us that they hand make their own vegan tuna, salmon and other fish substitutes with carrots, soy and a rue of spices and sauces. What was even more fun was that they had a cat robot that served your meal! How fun! See below!
Pike Place Chowder
Seattle is known for its seafood. With their famous fish-throwing shows and chowder specialities, everyone wants to try the seafood when they visit. If you are vegan you may feel left out, BUT there is an option for you! Pike Place Chowder offers lime & coconut vegan chowder! Yummy! 😋
